andrew I wanted these to work. But they didn't... I wanted these to work. The wash is the whole reason I clicked buy — that soft, washed-down indigo délavé A.P.C. does better than almost anyone, on real Japanese denim. On the hanger and in photos, they're right. They just didn't fit me, and the reason is baked into the cut — so I want to be specific about who that applies to, because for the right body these are probably great. A.P.C. lists the Fairfax as low-rise, unisex, very wide leg. That "low-rise" is the tell. The front rise is short, and on me that turned into constriction right through the crotch — not enough vertical room before the fabric ran out. The unisex block also sits flat through the seat. If you're lean and straight up and down, fine, maybe ideal. I'm not. I played baseball in high school and never lost the build — my girlfriend likes to tell me I've got a baseball player's butt. There was just no room in the bucket; the back of the jean ran out before I did. So this isn't really a quality knock. The denim's good, the wash is genuinely beautiful, the wide leg drapes the way it should. It's a fit-and-block problem, and at around $250 the fit has to be right or it's an expensive maybe. Worth it if you've got a lean, straight frame and want one of the better washed wide-leg jeans out there. The low rise will work for you. Skip if you carry any muscle through the thighs and seat. The short rise and flat unisex cut will fight you, and no break-in fixes geometry.

andrew Sadly, these fit very poorly imo. Maybe they're just not make for my body type/shape/etc. Either way, going to be returning them.
