You've read a thousand product reviews. How many did you trust? Reviews are anonymous and disposable. You don't know what else the reviewer owns, what they usually buy, or whether their taste has anything in common with yours. A five-star rating from a stranger tells you almost nothing.
And even when someone writes something honest, brands control the platform. They delete reviews they don't like. They surface the glowing ones. The incentive structure is broken from the start.

And time counts for something. The longer someone has owned what they're talking about, the more their take has been tested by real wear, real washing, real regret. That's not a status. It's just evidence — the kind a star rating can never carry.
